About Lynette
The proud founder of Joella's Tasty Treats. A native of Washington, DC, Lynette's passion for baking spans over 17 years. Her journey into the world of baking began under the loving guidance of her mother and grandmother, where she mastered the art of creating delectable cakes, cookies, brownies, and cupcakes.
To further hone her skills, Lynette sought out formal training in cake decorating. She attended numerous cake decorating classes at Little Bitt’s Shop in Bethesda, MD, where she had the privilege of learning from the esteemed Owner, Mr. Bob, and the incredibly talented Mrs. Cynthia Rawlins, whom she regards as the best teacher and baker she's ever encountered. Additionally, Lynette expanded her knowledge by taking several cake decorating courses at Michaels in MD & VA.
Armed with a wealth of knowledge and expertise in cake decoration, Lynette has delighted family members, friends, and co-workers with her beautifully adorned cakes for various special occasions, including birthdays, christenings, bridal showers, graduations, and holidays.
